Information Center
This is the Information Center, where you can go to find information. After you're a member you can keep checking back here for tips and thingd like that.

Joining
If you would like to join, click here, but please read all of the rules first. If you havn't, you might not know what your getting into.
Rules For Joining
1. Absolutely NO swearing on the message board or chat rooms or in the barns (it upsets the horses AND the owners)!
2. You HAVE to remain as active as possible. If you would like to leave DHS, email me and we will take you name off of the member list, we will take your barn off of the barn pages, and we will sell off your horses.
3. If you go bankrupt, then EVERYTHING of yours will be deleted and you will have to start over.
4. Multiple accounts for one person are NOT ALLOWED. This is because all of DHS is still done by hand - none of it is automated. If you sign up for more than one account, you are making my work harder, which, in turn, slows down DHS.
Why should you join?
A) You get to own a horse and look after it-race it, feed it, breed it.
B) You get access to the members only area-that includes the message board, chat room, your bank account, a list of your horses and a horse joke library. So the last one isn't really important-it's just a little extra for all those members who went to such a big trouble to fill out the joining form. ;-)
C) It's fun.

Races
To enter a race, click here. Just fill in the entry form at the bottom of the page, and you'll be entered in the race. You MUST remember that every race has an entrance fee. Make sure you have enough money to enter the race or you will go bankrupt.

Barns
The members barns are for the 'Barn Owners'. If you are a 'Barn Owner', you can create a page for the stable which you own. It costs money to build a barn, so watch how big you make it. Before you become a 'Barn Owner', you have to be a 'Boarder'. Check out the Barns page for a list of all the barns in which you can board your horse(s).
If you're boarding your horse in another members stable, we (the creators of DHS) have nothing to do with it except the sending of the horse picture - so if your horse doesn't show up in someone elses barn, complain to them, not to us. If, however, your horse doesn't show up in DHS's barn, remind me (diane).

Status
Status:
Boarder: You must be a boarder for a month before you can become an 'Barn Owner'. If you aren't active during that month you won't be promoted though.
Barn Owner: Congrats! You are now able to own a barn! If you are not active from now on, you will not be demoted, but if you're not active in DHS for 6 months or so, you may be cut from the member list.

Brood, Stud and Foal Books
These books record every mare, stallion and foal that exists in Dream Horse Stables. Your horses are entered in them automaticly. If, for some reason, your horse does NOT apear in the stud/brood/foal book within a week of you ordering it, e-mail me.

Retiring a Horse
All horses are automaticly retired at age 10. Ritiring a horse means they can't be raced any more, but can be used for breeding. You can also retire a horse before it turns ten if you want to. All you have to do is e-mail me with your horses name.
Stallions (retired male horses) can race and breed at the same time, mares, however, cannot. Once you have bred your mare, she is automaticly retired.
